...so i had an AWESOME thanksgiving weekend!!!...it was so goOOooD to be home!...i miss it so much!!!....i went home late wednesday night w/ "harold and kumar"...haha...thanx for driving ainidel! =)...wen i got home my mommy was still up at 2 in the morning making her famous pecan tarts!...i'm not too much of a nut lover but i actually dont mind eating those....anywho once i went in my room my sis had made my bed for me...aww how cute!....it felt good to be home =)...thanksgiving morning i woke up pretty early to start on the mash potatoes and help w/ anything else that had to get prepared....then my entire family headed off to temecula to spend thanksgiving with my older sis and her family....boy did i eat like there was no tomorrow!!!....mmMm mmMm mMMm!....that day involved a whole bunch of eating, playing with the rugrats, and a whole bunch of board games!...and the girls won every single time thank you very much!!!...friday i basically did a whole bunch of nothing and i loved every minute of it!...hehe...basically i just baked and cooked w/ my mommy since my brothers are a bunch of cows..haha...and then of course what would a weekend home be like w/ no studying???...so of course I spent a good few loOOoong hours on my care plan assignment that was due the following day...fun stuff huh?....but later that night i was able to catch a break and do some shopping at brea....surprisingly i bought nothing for myself...but i did start on christmas shopping for my dad and sisters....then the saddest part of the night was having to leave...i spent a good 48 hours at home, but it wasnt quite long enough...oh well what can i do? =/....i guess its another month til i go home and i can't wait!....

...as for the rest of my weekend....*cough *cough...yup i got sick (YESSS!...IT WORKED!...haha)...i actually wanted to get sick...yes i know i'm weird but i just dont like getting sick during christmas because since i was younger i always got sick around christmas and i hated it!...so id rather get sick now and get it over with....anyways i worked on sat morning....and thats when my fever started but i was able to force myself to go through my 8 n half hour day...but i realized that wasnt a smart move...i ended up getting a fever wen i got home and slept basically until i had work again the next morning....i got ready to go to work and once i was 2 hours into work i realized it was another bad idea to force myself to work after having a bad fever...so i got sent home early....and once again my temperature sky-rocketed!....maritess decided to give me some nyquil which knocked me out for 20 hours!!!...haha...that's more hours of sleep that i get in an entire week all together!...haha....i woke up still feeling like crap and i decided to be smart and actually call-in to work...haha...so now i'm just recovering...i'm trying to regain my energy back...oh man being sick sucks but i asked for it!....welp that was my fun-filled weekend!....hopefully i get my energy back so i can go back to study-mode, cuz right now my head feels like blah....okie dokie i hope everyone had a good thanksgiving wknd!...til next time!....=)

...first of all i would like to begin my update by saying HAPPY 20th BIRTHDAY MARIE!!!...woohoo its about time u turned 20!!!...geesh!....yup its almost 4am and im still up...thanx to this hectic week my sleeping pattern is officially ruined...anyways about an hour ago i just got back from watching HARRY POTTER and the Goblet of Fire!!!...yup i'm somewhat of a Harry Potter fan and proud of it!...hehe...well as for this week *OH MY!!!*...where do i begin???...well to make a long and stressful week short lets just say that i had 2 exams this week....one on tuesday n the other on thursday morning...but lucky me got scheduled to close on the night before each test so that met i pulled an all-nighter!!!....and you know how much i love those! (NOT!)...i literally had a couple of hours sleep each night!...i dont even know how i functioned the past 4 days?....but on a brighter and more exciting note, i was able to spend my entire clinical day (wed) in the Operating Room!...this is the first time i had actually seen any kind of surgery up front....watching stuff like that on tv is one thing, but watching it in real life is so amazing!...first i got to watch a cosmetic surgery which wasnt too exciting, so then i moved to another room where they were doing a heart surgery!....but thanx to my outstanding height i wasn't quite able to see inside as they were doing it, but every now and then i would see the heart pump slight out of the cavity...then i got to see a lobectomy up close...i was literally a couple feet away as i watched the surgeons take a tumor out of a man's lung!...cool huh?...it was an amazing experience!...6 hours straight of standing around and frequent back aches were so worth it! =)

...ok maybe i wasnt to describe my long a stress week short but oh man i'm am exhausted!...surprisingly i'm still awake at this moment...i only had 3hrs of sleep the other night...took a test....had lab for 6 hours...cooked "better-than-sex" cake for marie's bday....headed to the mall....watched harry potter....and now i'm here still up!...crazy huh?...so as for this weekend i'm doing absolutely nothing!...oh wait i have to take my WPA test on sat morning....dangit!...doesnt seem like i ever catch a break!...haha well besides that i'm going nowhere near a book for the next couple days!....ok i better go to bed...i dont think all this lack of sleep is quite healthy for me....welp i guess i'm out!...nite!....

...p.s. i get to HOME in less than a week i'm soooOOOOooo ExiTeD!!!!....

...so a lot has been going on since my last update...so all the studying i did for my last exam really paid off!...i would have to say that i'm very pleased w/ my results =)....my halloween weekend turned out to be a blast!...friday nite we went to the haunted hotel in downtown sd, i would say it was really scary but then again i kept my eyes shut 75% of the time...haha...saturday i started off my day at the butt-crack of dawn to attend a CPR class...once again i'm a certified professional rescuer! yeah!!!...then that night i surprised my sister and showed up to her costume party in her house in the LBC!...it was soOOo much fun!...it was great to finally spend a halloween w/ the friends from home =) it was totally worth the drive....then halloween night us roomies passed out treats to the little kiddies! awww i saw the cutest little kids!....we took pictures w/ all the kids that came to our door! haha lame huh? but it was fun!...then we all headed out to watch Saw II...and that ended our halloween celebration!...

...as for the rest of the week, well so far its been quite busy...i had work as usual and then i had my second day of clinicals @ scripps...with all the boring orientation stuff done and over with this time we actually got to work w/ patients!...i was assigned my own patient who had renal failure, but she was a sure trooper and made it easy for me, i mean real easy....she even wanted to give her own injections cuz she was pro like that...haha...i was honestly really nervous, but once i got in the room i felt pretty calm, time went by really fast that day surprisingly...gradually i'm getting the hang of it =)....overall i really like that hospital, its in la jolla so some rooms have the view of the ocean!!!...its so beautiful!....i can't wait til i get to spend the day in the operating room!...but that wont be until a couple weeks...but til then ill just be giving baths, cleaning butts, IV's, injections, etc etc etc!...exciting huh?....

...i could already tell this month is gonna be hectic...maybe more than i can handle, but I CAN DO IT!...motivation is the key!...haha i' know im lame but it really works!...almost anything is possible if you have motivation!...hehe...ok i must get some rest and start studying....til next time! =)
